Coronal Mass Ejection
Catalog: M2M_CATALOG
Start Time: 2025-11-29T17:00Z ( GOES: CCOR-1 )
All Detecting Spacecrafts:
GOES: CCOR-1
SOHO: LASCO/C2
SOHO: LASCO/C3
STEREO A: SECCHI/COR2
Activity ID: 2025-11-29T17:00:00-CME-001 (version 1)
Source Location: N20E89
Note Keyword:
COL: Possible collision with previous CME
DFL: Likely deflection of the event within the FOV
FOV: Front Bright front; may be evidence of pileup
GAP: Data gap
Ha: Bright emission (likely H-alpha emission)
OFL: Outflowing material at the back of the CME
OVR: Event partially overlaps with another CME
Source Signature Keyword:
FLR: Flare
PEA: Post eruption arcade
FIL: Filament eruption
OFL: Moving/Opening field lines
EUVW: EUV Wave
Morphology Keyword:
F: Flux Rope
Note: CME observed to the E in GOES CCOR-1, STEREO A COR2, and SOHO LASCO C2/C3. This CME follows and overlaps/collides with smaller CME 2025-11-29T16:00Z, which erupts from the same region just before this larger eruption. This source is assocaited with a long-duration M1.0 class flare from an unnumbered region just on or beyond the NE limb (N20E89) peaking at 2025-11-29T17:16Z, observed in GOES SUVI 131. Also observed in GOES SUVI 131/171/195/284/304 as wide field line movement/EUV wave with northward deflection.

If there are multiple CME analysis entries for a single CME, this flag would indicate which analysis is considered most accurate per measurement type. This is a helpful flag if you would like to download only one most accurate CME analysis per CME per Measurement Type |

The CME front is lopsided due to the eruption deflection and partial overlap with CME 2025-11-29T16:00Z. Best attempt at triangulating and following the leading edge direction is taken between GOES CCOR-1 and STEREO A COR2, which does miss some material on the northern edge that cannot fit in the swpc_cat tool's width due to the elongated CME shape, as such the half-width may be wider than 27 degrees. |
